Wishing Every Charity The Best for 2026!
Third Sector Network’s online workshops support charities facing common, real-world challenges. Covering areas such as social media, communications, volunteer recruitment, engagement, and organisational development, each session focuses on practical issues charities regularly encounter.
Workshops provide clear, realistic guidance that can be applied immediately, regardless of size or budget. All charity training workshops are available online 24/7, allowing individuals or teams to learn at their own pace and revisit content whenever needed.
Find the workshop that suits you and your charity’s needs. Each link will take you to Eventbrite, where you can purchase access to the video.
Videos are available for a limited time (see individual workshop details for expiry dates) and can be watched as many times as you wish before that deadline.

Does your charity have big ambitions but find itself struggling with limited resources to achieve them?
Whether your organisation faces financial shortfalls, lack logistical support, or requires specific expertise, engaging corporate partners can be the key to unlocking new opportunities and driving your charity’s growth.

You know exactly what your charity does and why it matters. But it's not always easy for others to appreciate how your efforts equal definitive results.
Equally important, can you demonstrate how your charity can deliver more than others also competing for donors and grants?
What does each £1 put in actually deliver? Can you show why any investment people put in can deliver so much more than that in terms of outcomes.

Is your charity heavily focused on securing grant funding, but finding it difficult to convert applications into successful outcomes? Are you beginning to wonder if the problem lies in how you're applying for these grants and whether your charity is truly giving itself the best possible chance to secure the funding it needs?
If these challenges sound familiar, our online workshop, "Grant Funding Bids:
Where Are We Going Wrong?", might be exactly what you’re looking for.

In today's digital age, many charities assume that social media and digital marketing are the only effective ways to get their message out to the public. However, did you know that email marketing consistently outperforms other marketing channels in terms of return on investment (ROI) for charities?

You start the week with a clear plan — meetings, essential tasks, project work, and time set aside for strategy. But within days, priorities slip, longer-term work is postponed, and you’re left reacting to whatever feels most urgent. Big-picture planning falls away, not through lack of intent, but lack of time. Sound familiar?

Did the COVID19 pandemic and the subsequent cost of living crisis highlight vulnerabilities in your charity’s financial sustainability?
Many charities have been forced to confront a harsh reality - Does your charity have the financial rigour to survive a serious downturn?

Are you looking to reach new audiences and engage supporters for your non-profit, but finding it challenging to create original, engaging, and effective marketing content?
You have an incredible cause doing amazing things, yet connecting with new supporters seems more difficult than ever.
If this resonates with you, our workshop from Third Sector Network is precisely what you need.

Are you interested in hosting 'hybrid' community or charity events, but don't really know where to start?
Do you think Hybrid events might be something that can help your organisation hugely, but you worry it might be too much to take on?
The potential to double, treble (or more) your charity event audiences is easier to achieve and can happen overnight with hybrid events.

Are you looking to achieve growth with your charity?
To raise higher awareness and reach a wider audience? But, is your lack of a hefty marketing budget holding you back?
This workshop will look at how effective networking and partnership building can deliver more significant results than many costly advertising campaigns. How using networking connections in person, on Zoom/Teams and via social media can deliver tangible results in terms of growth and revenue.

Does public speaking terrify you? Or perhaps you’ve taken steps to improve but still find yourself struggling to meet your own expectations? If so, you’re not alone.
Public speaking is one of the most common fears, even more so than death! In fact, studies show that many people would rather be in the coffin at a funeral than delivering the eulogy.

Is your charity full of ambition to be as inclusive as possible?
Want to better reflect the diversity of people who make up your organisation and people you help?
Do you have all the right intentions but feel you need a bit of support turning those intentions into tangible actions and outcomes?

Every charity has a unique mission and serves a distinct audience, both existing and potential.
Yet, many charities overlook the importance of thoroughly understanding who their audience is.
This knowledge is crucial for effective fundraising, community engagement, and volunteer recruitment.

For many charities, when you ask them what their biggest issue is, the answer is simple: We want more people to know we exist!
However, raising your charity's profile can sometimes seem an impossible task.
That's why this workshop doesn't offer magic solutions or endlessly fixate on social media. It dissects the issue, helps make it applicable to you and move on to real-world, practical steps to take.

Every charity must have a board of trustees. You probably don't need an online workshop to learn that!
But having a board does not automatically mean you have the right people, or perhaps you feel you have the right people but they don't have all the right skills and experience.
This is not a problem any charity can afford to ignore.

Without volunteers, there is no charity sector. Around 90% of the entire UK charity sector's workforce are volunteers. They are not a supplementary part of the sector, they are the sector.
With this in mind, any charity that wants to succeed needs to have a tangible, ambitious and properly planned plan to recruit and retain quality volunteers.
This online workshop can be your first step to achieving that.

This on-demand workshop helps charities build stronger, more meaningful relationships with their communities.
Focussing on who your communities really are, how to communicate in ways that resonate, and move beyond surface-level engagement.
Designed for charities with limited time and resources, it offers realistic, practical guidance that can be applied immediately to improve understanding and point you towards real world plans.

Operating in a crowded charity sector can feel uncomfortable and sometimes maybe even unfair.
This practical workshop helps charities stand out with clarity and confidence, without compromising values.
Learn how to position your organisation, strengthen relationships, and respond strategically to competition in funding, attention, and partnerships.

Many charities know they need to “do more marketing” but feel overwhelmed by where to start, what matters, and what’s realistic with resources they have.
Marketing advice often assumes money, specialist staff, or constant content creation — things most charities simply don’t have.
This workshop is designed to strip charity marketing to the basics. It focuses on helping you understand what good marketing actually is, how different elements fit together, and how to avoid trying to do everything at once.
Please reach us at info@thirdsectornetwork.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Full instructions can be found on the Eventbrite page for each event - But in concise terms, you purchase your ticket and once you head to the 'Online Events' page within the event, or look for the 'View Links' button on your e-ticket. These direct you to a page where a private video is available to view immediately.
This is a very common question - Please read the following carefully. The individual workshops on Eventbrite are available for a limited time and are tied to a specific date. For example, a workshop may be listed as being completed on July 20th at 10am. This means that workshop will not be available to view beyond this date/time. We list events for one month and end ticket sales 48hrs before the video expires. This means you will have between one month and 48hrs to watch and re-watch your online workshop. If you feel there is insufficient time to watch your chosen workshop before it expires, please note an identical workshop will launch the moment the current one expires. So simply wait for that new workshop and purchase a ticket to view that one instead. But, you are guaranteed to have access for a minimum of 48hrs and a maximum of 30 days.
Our workshops are designed specifically for online presentation. So there are no blurry videos of someone in a conference room with sketchy sound quality. The presentation, created and hosted by a UK charity sector expert, is presented directly on screen with narration from said expert overlayed. This means our workshops can be watched in your office on a laptop or with headphones on your phone on the bus or train.
How this works will depend on your own circumstances. If you're all able to gather round one device or project onto a larger screen, then one ticket will suffice for all of you. But if your team are watching in multiple locations or at different times, you may need to purchase individual tickets. You add the individual email for each ticket holder and then they will be all be able to access the workshop[s] wherever they may be.
Presentation time varies (naturally) from workshop to workshop. The shortest are about 1hr10 mins and the longest is 1hr 45mins. but if you wish to watch the presentation in bitesize sessions, simply pause and return when you're ready.
No. The videos are hosted via a private YouTube channel so they are not available to download. This also protects our intellectual property. Respectfully we advise that downloading our workshops is not permitted and represents a breach of the terms and conditions of the workshops.
Each workshop costs £25.00 to access fully. This is flat rate meaning you pay the same no matter where you are.

Once you see an online workshop you're interested in, click on the "Watch Now" button and you'll be taken to the event's external page on Eventbrite. There you'll find a more in-depth description so you can decide for sure if it's for you. If it is, select "Get Tickets".
(Please note the date listed for the workshop in question - This will be the point the online workshop expires and ticket holders will no longer be able to watch. All workshops are re-listed afresh the next day - Tickets are not transferable.)

Our online workshops all cost the same to watch, with the exception of some promotional prices you may find as we release new workshops. Select a ticket and place your order - The order process is quite straightforward and works the same way most major ticketing retailers operate. We can assure you Eventbrite are a thoroughly reputable retailer.

Once you have ordered your ticket, you will see, in the e-ticket, two options you can select (they do the same thing). Select "Online Events" or "View Links" and this will take you to the private workshop video.

You can watch the online workshop immediately and either pause and return or re-watch it in full until the date of the listed workshop which is the expiry point. You are guaranteed access to any workshop for a minimum of 48hrs (and sometimes up to a month!)
If you have any queries beforehand or any issues whatsoever with the ordering process or accessing the workshop, you can email events@thirdsectornetwork.co.uk at any time and a real person will get back to you and personally make sure your questions are answered or issues resolved.
We appreciate many smaller charities (and large ones) require an invoice for any expenditure. Or perhaps you don't have a work payment card and don't feel comfortable covering the cost yourself and claiming on expenses.
If you would like to pay by bank transfer with an invoice, we can easily arrange this. Simply email your request to events@thirdsectornetwork.co.uk (detailing the online workshop you wish to access and how many separate people need a link) - We will provide a personalised invoice and once this is paid, a private link to the online workshop will be sent to you directly.
